Confidentiality
Manuscripts, ideas and personal material are handled discreetly, with confidentiality terms in every agreement.
A publishing partner that treats the author as the client, the book as the point, and clear guidance as the service.
Australian Book Publishing works with first-time and independent authors, entrepreneurs and professionals, memoirists, novelists, poets and children’s authors, and with people who have carried an unfinished book around for years. Some arrive with a finished manuscript. Many arrive with an idea, a folder of notes and a question about where to start.
A book belongs to its author. Our role is to bring professional craft to the parts of publishing that are hard to do alone, without taking the story, the rights or the decisions out of the author’s hands. We would rather tell you what your book does not need than sell you a package.
Every project begins with a confidential conversation and a written scope. Work is delivered in stages with review points, by a coordinated team of writers, editors and designers, under one project lead who is your single point of contact. Nothing is finalised without your approval.
Editing follows a defined sequence with tracked changes and style sheets. Design work is researched against the genre and built to platform specification. Publishing setup is done in your name, with proofs reviewed before release. Where a manuscript needs more than you have asked for, we say so before starting.
