It depends on genre, page count and where the book will be sold. Novels are commonly 5 x 8 or 5.5 x 8.5 inches on print-on-demand platforms; non-fiction is often 6 x 9; Australian trade paperbacks are frequently B-format. We recommend a size in your quote.
